How is mixing emulsified asphalt produced?
Using our emulsified asphalt equipment, base asphalt, selected asphalt emulsifiers, and water are processed through a colloid mill, where they undergo shearing and grinding to form a water-based asphalt emulsion. This type is mainly used in slurry seal coats, micro-surfacing of asphalt pavements, and similar applications, and can be applied at normal or slightly elevated temperatures.
